With the Atlas device you can choose whether or not to be prompted for medication administrations. Administrations that are prompted will appear in red at the time that they are due, and will show as green when not. You also have the option to turn the dose reminders off, resulting in the medication showing as white at the bottom of the residents’ medication list. These medications will need to be manually monitored by staff to ensure that they are given when appropriate.
To turn a dose reminder on or off follow this process;
1. log in to the Atlas device, select the view residents’ icon, click on the resident in question.
2. Select the medication bar at the top of the screen and then choose the medication that you wish to amend. Select the details icon from the drop-down box that appears and then select edit drug at the top of the screen.
3. At the bottom of the following screen it will say dosage reminders and either yes or no. Click on the word to turn the reminders on or off, and then select the next icon at the bottom of the screen.
4. This will then need to be witnessed by another user.
