Not given codes and reasons

Atlas eMAR charts will display codes for items which have been accounted for as not given on the device, the code will refer to the selected not given reason or it will refer to automated codes generated for reasons such as the resident being absent.

The list of reasons that a medication has not been given on Atlas eMAR are as follows:

  • A0 Not required

  • A1 Resident Refused

  • A2 Nausea Vomiting

  • A3 Resident Asleep

  • A4 Resident Absent

  • A5 Resident too ill

  • A6 Loose Stools

  • B1 Too Soon

  • B2 Discontinued

  • B4 Pulse too low

  • C1 Destroyed/Damaged

  • C2 Stock Unavailable

  • C3 Contaminated

  • C4 Drug out of date

  • C5 Awaiting Stock

  • D12 Paper MAR Used

On the MAR chart you may also see these codes:

  • D1 Omitted by Error

  • D2 Accounted for on Manual Paperwork

  • D3 Absent - Hospital

  • D4 Absent - Day release

  • D5 Self Medicating

  • D6 Next due adjust

  • D7 Suppress PRN

  • D8 Suppress Cream

  • D9 Self Medicating

  • D10 Missing Entry marked as Given

  • D11 Missing Entry marked as Not Given

  • D12 Paper MAR used

  • D13 Auto Unaccounted PRN

  • D14 Auto Unaccounted Cream

  • D15 Not Given Unknown Reason

  • D16 Unaccounted Unknown Reason

  • X1 Missing Entry (Unspecified)

Pharmacy Status Codes

  • DOSE - The dose has changed

  • TIME - The administration times have changed

  • NEW - The drug is new

  • STOP - The treatment for the drug has stopped
