Uninstalling & Reinstalling the Atlas eMAR app

It may occasionally be necessary to uninstall and reinstall the Atlas eMAR app on a handheld device.

Uninstalling the Atlas App

  • Close the Atlas eMAR app.

  • Press and hold the Atlas eMAR icon on the device.

  • Select App info from the menu that appears.

  • Select the Uninstall option to remove the app from the device.

Re-installing the Atlas App

  • Locate the Play Store icon on your handset. Tap to open it.

  • Open the device’s search bar and type Atlas eMAR.

  • Press Enter, then select the app and choose Install.

  • Once the app has been reinstalled, open Atlas eMAR.

  • You will be asked to scan a new QR licence, which will download the care home’s data to the device.

To generate a QR licence from Atlas Central

  • Log in to Atlas Central, select My Care Home then select Manage Devices.

  • Select add new device located at the top of the page, a QR licence code will be generated to the email address used to log in to the Atlas Central site.

Please note that one QR licence is required for each device.

Please note: If you are unable to see the Play Store app on your device, your device will be locked down either by your IT department on by us. If the device is not locked down by your I.T department please get in contact with support via support@atlasemar.com and we will be able to unlock the devices temporarily for you if we have them on our lockdown system.

Risks around reinstalling the App

​Please note: to prevent any potential data loss, try to avoid uninstalling the app if you are experiencing syncing issues.

This could mean some already administered medications would show as due now again, booked in medication would show on the booking in screen, medication stock would not be up to date, and any changes made to profiles or medications would have not been saved.
