In the data export section, you can easily create Excel exports, which can be used for a variety of purposes, like doing your own analysis outside the portal, or using the data to create your own custom reporting.

You can choose what you want to export based on three settings:

  • Metrics: Select which metrics to export using the categorized list of available metrics

  • Years: Pick the years for which you would like to export the data

  • Companies: Choose which companies to include in the export

Using templates

If you repeatedly make the same export (e.g. if you create periodic reporting for which you use the same data), you can make use of the template functionality. This will save your export settings so you can easily access it without having to worry about selecting the right settings.

You can create a template as follows:

  1. Select ‘Create template’ in the menu on the left. A popup window will open, where you can name your template and choose whether you want to share it with your coworkers

    1. Note: Ticking ‘Shared with my coworkers’ will cause the template to show up in your colleagues’ A-INSIGHTS portals as well. Not ticking the box will mean only you can see the template

  2. After naming your template, click ‘Save’ on the bottom right. Your template will now show up under ‘Your templates’

  3. Subsequently, select the template you just created and apply the settings as you normally would, making your selection of metrics, years and companies. When you are happy with your settings, save your template again by clicking the ‘Save’ icon to the right of your template name

  4. Now you can easily access your template anytime under ‘Your templates’ in the Data export section. You can also edit the settings of your template again and save them, or delete your template altogether in case you don’t need it anymore. By clicking the ‘x’ on the top right, you’ll exit your template and go back to the default screen
