Concept Model
This conceptual model provides a structured framework to classify and organize sector-specific economic data through a hierarchical system of entities: sector groups, value chain links, product categories, industries, product groups, and products. Its primary purpose is to establish a clear and consistent taxonomy that captures the diversity and complexity of business activities and offerings within each sector.
By delineating distinct entities such as value chain links—which represent core business activities—and product categories—which group related services and tools, the model facilitates precise mapping of industries and their associated products. This enables effective filtering, segmentation, and enhanced data discoverability on the platform.
