What is My Radar?
My Radar is your personal space within the A-INSIGHTS platform — designed to help you stay on top of what matters most to you. Whether you're tracking competitors, monitoring financial trends, or following key industry movements, My Radar allows you to cut through the clutter and focus on what’s relevant for your work, projects, or strategic priorities.
Every user starts with one or two default radar dashboards. These offer an instant view of the most up-to-date and impactful information in your market — for example:
Key Peers – an overview of your selected competitors.
Industry View – a broader perspective covering all major players within your sector.
The exact setup may vary depending on your industry and account configuration. Don’t worry if your dashboards look a bit different — they all follow the same structure and principles.
🧩 How My Radar Works
Each radar dashboard is made up of widgets — interactive blocks that display the most relevant and recent updates. These can include:
Earnings Updates – latest quarterly or annual call insights, with sentiment analysis.
News Feed – industry and company news filtered for your chosen focus area.
Documents & Events – recent filings, reports, or investor updates.
Financial Metrics – key indicators like Net Sales or EBIT for top performers.
The system always prioritizes the most recent or relevant items at the top — helping you see what’s new at a glance.
⚙️ Customizing Your Radar
My Radar is all about flexibility. You can adjust it to match your workflow or specific project goals. There are two main ways to do this:
1. Tweak an Existing Dashboard
You can edit any of the predefined dashboards to better fit your needs. For example:
Change layout: Resize widgets, move them around, or rename sections.
Edit widgets: Adjust which data or time range is displayed.
Modify charts: Switch metrics (e.g., from Net Sales to EBITDA) or chart types.
💡 Tip: If possible, keep default dashboards locked — this way, you’ll continue to receive improvements and new templates from the Insights team.
2. Create Your Own Radar
When you need a more tailored view — for a specific project, product group, or competitor cluster — you can build your own radar dashboard from scratch.
Here’s how:
Start a new dashboard
Choose to build from an existing template or start blank.
Give your new radar a descriptive name, e.g., “Cheese – Private Label.”
Define your company selection
Use Smart Rules to automatically include the companies you care about.
Filter by attributes such as:
Industry
Product Group (e.g., Cheese, Milk Powder)
Branding (e.g., Private Label, Branded)
Value Chain Role (e.g., Manufacturer, Retailer)
Add your widgets
Choose from available types:
Pulse (latest news and document updates)
Charts (financial or operational metrics)
Maps (regional coverage or footprint)
Sentiment Scores (earnings call tone analysis)
Customize content
Add tags or filters (e.g., Financial Health, M&A, Innovation).
Define time range or number of displayed items.
Save your layout and refresh the view to apply changes.
🌟 Example Use Case
Let’s say you want to track private label cheese producers:
Create a new radar called “Cheese – Private Label.”
Use Smart Rules:
Product Group: Cheese
Branding: Private Label
Add a News widget filtered for topics like Production, Innovation, Marketing.
Add a Financials chart showing Net Sales and EBIT evolution.
Optionally, add a Sentiment Score widget for recent earnings calls.
In just a few steps, you now have a focused view of what’s happening in your niche — from product launches to financial trends.
