Most EAL exams can be sat multiple times, but some exams have a re-sit restriction in place and learners will only be permitted to sit the exam 2 times. This will always be stated in section 6.0. of the Qualification Manual for the relevant exam.
For these exams, once a learner sits the exams twice you will see the learner greyed out and the following message will be displayed:
For certain exams we may be able to allow a third and final attempt with permission from your EQA. Please see the table below showing all EAL exams with a restricted resit rule, and which ones would potentially allow a 3rd attempt for your learner.

Please Note: If your learner is not eligible for a third re-sit you would need to re-register the learner on the qualification in the next academic year.
