While a non-programmable calculator is allowed into every EAL exam, other materials vary.

To find out whether an exam is open book or closed book, and which materials a learner will be allowed to bring into the examination room, please consult section 6.0 of the Qualification Manual.

Please note: If the qualification does not list any materials, then it will be a closed-book exam.

There is also a reminder on the intro page of every online exam, which the learner can check just before starting their examination. This intro page will specify by name if there are any materials permitted.
