Participating in an auction

Only the suppliers chosen for the auction by the contracting entity will be able to access the auction.

To participate in an auction:

Open the e-mail invitation sent by the contracting entity and click the ‘Go to auction’ link.

You can also open the auction by going to the Supplier Portal website of the contracting organisation that arranges the auction:

  • Currently active auctions appear topmost in the list of the contracting entity’s publications

  • If an auction invitation has been sent but is not yet active, the list will also show the upcoming auctions

You can monitor the status of the auction and your ranking on the right side of the page.

  • You can view your current score in the auction and the difference between the leading bid and your bid if the contracting entity has defined these to be visible in the auction settings

The contracting entity may have specified a minimum decrease for the items to be auctioned.
The system displays a warning if the decrease in the value of your bid is smaller than the specified minimum decrease

The contracting entity may have prevented price increases.
In that case, the system will display a warning if you try to increase the price.
