Can I have my salary paid into my Yonder account?
Currently, no. Your Yonder account is designed to be topped up from a personal bank account held in your own name.
Employer Payments: We do not currently support incoming salary payments from employers.
The Reason: To ensure the highest level of security and compliance with Dutch Wwft regulations, we require that initial funds come from a verified account you already own.
What payments can I make into my account?
You can top up your Yonder balance by transferring money from any of your other Dutch or European bank accounts.
Instant Topping Up: Because we use ClearBank’s real-time infrastructure, most top-ups from other Dutch banks arrive instantly via SEPA Instant Credit Transfer.
What about Direct Debits and Standing Orders?
In the Netherlands, these are essential for paying rent or utility bills. Here is where Yonder stands:
Direct Debits (Automatische Incasso): We do not currently support SEPA Direct Debits. You cannot use your Yonder IBAN to pay your energy bill or gym membership.
Standing Orders (Periodieke Overboekingen): You cannot currently set up outgoing standing orders from within the Yonder app.
The Solution: For recurring "lifestyle" subscriptions, you can use your Yonder Debit Card details. This works perfectly for services like:
Netflix & Spotify
Amazon Prime
Disney+ & Apple One
Cloud storage (iCloud/Google One)
Just enter your 16-digit Yonder card number and CVC code in the payment settings of these apps, and the monthly fee will be deducted automatically from your Yonder balance (earning you points every month).
