All of the data sources used in the Solar Land Potential and Wind Land Potential datasets are in the public domain or usable under terms such as the Creative Commons license by 4.0 or Open Government License v3.0.
Most had previously been analysed previously as part of the IRENES EU Interreg project which examined renewable energy sources in eastern England (https://projects2014-2020.interregeurope.eu/irenes/).
