Connectors let Sana work with your other tools. Not every connector is switched on for everyone by default - a workspace owner decides which ones are available for who. Connector requests let workspace members can see everything that's possible and request access to what they need. Workspace owners get a clear, prioritized list of what's in demand, so they can enable the right connectors and help drive up adoption.
How workspace members can request a connector
1. Go to User settings → Connectors. Under Browse connectors you'll see two groups:
Connectors available for you — a workspace admin has already granted you access; you can connect to these right away.
Connectors unavailable for you — you don't have access yet; you can request it.
2. On any connector under Connectors unavailable for you, hover the card and click Request. The button changes to Requested to confirm your request was sent. You can also open a connector's detail page and click Request there.
3. The connector will become available to you once a workspace owner has reviewed and approved your request. If they deny your request, the button will go from "Requested" to "Request".
How workspace owners can review and accept or deny connector requests
1. Go to Settings → Connectors. Below the Enabled connectors table you'll see a Connector requests section (it only appears when your team has open requests).
2.Click a row to open the review dialog. You have two ways to grant access:
Enable for workspace — turn the connector on for everyone in your workspace. Best when it's broadly useful.
Grant access to specific people — for each requester, you can accept the request to give just that person access, or deny it. If there is more than 1 person in this list, two buttons will appear at the bottom to let you quickly request or deny all requesters.
3. If a connector shouldn't be enabled, and you want to reject all requests for it, click the "..." button on the request row and choose Deny requests.
Known limitations
MCP: It is not possible to view and request MCPs that are not enabled yet for you. This functionality only covers native 3rd party connectors.
FAQ
Q: Who can see the "Connector requests" section?
A: Only workspace admins, in Settings → Connectors.
Q: What happens to a person after I enable a connector for them?
It moves into their Connectors available for you list and they can connect to it -it does not get connected automatically.
Q: Does requesting a connector connect it automatically?
A: No. Requesting notifies your admins; an admin still needs to enable it before you can connect.
A: Can I request the same connector twice?
Q: No need - once you've requested it the button shows Requested. If an admin denies it, you'll be able to request it again.
