There are two types of emails sent by Talos Perform - reminders and alerts.
Note: You will need Configurator access to manage your email reminders and alerts.
Email reminders
Email reminders are one of the key features of Talos Perform and help to deliver useful information to users without them needing to log in. Enable/disable them in Configuration > Reviews & check-ins > Notifications > Email reminders for reviews. The content of the reminders cannot be customised.
The reminders are pre- and post-review due date emails that are sent to the people involved in a review. The schedule depends on what stage a review is at and what workflow is being used. This schedule can be customised for each workflow.
As an example, the following table describes the reminders that are sent for our standard 3-stage workflow:
Email alerts
The alerts are triggered when someone does something in the system. Some cannot be disabled and some are controlled by settings in the Configuration area of your account. They also follow the visibility rules set out on your account, for example, if feedback is hidden from employees, they will not receive an email when they are given feedback.
To employees
Receiving instant feedback (emails grouped overnight, instant via the Slack/Teams app, always)

Enabling/disabling email alerts
You can control email alerts on objectives by enabling/disabling the following three settings in Configuration > Objectives > Notifications:
You can control email alerts on feedback requests by enabling/disabling the following settings in Configuration > Feedback > Review-based feedback notifications:
You cannot disable email alerts on reviews/check-ins or continuous feedback/recognition - they are always enabled.
Customising the content of email alerts
Some alerts cannot be customised, the ones that can are listed below.
Warning: The email alerts are used for multiple scenarios on your account. For example, "review" will refer to any type of review so you cannot use language specific to one type (e.g. annual, probation).

Note: The templates generate the opening line 'Hi {firstname}' so you don't need to include this.
