Import a code list into a design

Here's how to import an existing code list that you have locally saved on your computer in .csv or .txt format.

Follow these steps to import an existing code list into a design:

  1. Create a new design or edit an existing one.

  2. Go to ATTRIBUTES and click on New Attribute.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, select Import.

  4. Choose the file on your computer that contains your code list in .csv or .txt format. Here, you can use an existing code list you use in Moba Xsite Manage or perhaps according to the standards in the Swedish Road Administration's Drawing Handbook.

Here is an example of how several rows may look in a code list to retrieve Code and Description. You can add multiple fields to explain the type of point, such as warehouse names, etc.

    120, Control point

    1200, Control point

    123, General survey point

    1230, General survey point

  5. Enter the name of your code list. By default, it will be given the file name as the name, but you can give your code list its own name.

  6. Check the names of each column that the system found in the file. Here's an example of how a value from each column may look.

  7. Select Create. The code list will now be displayed in the Attribute list under Code Lists and can be used to link information to your design.
