Follow these steps to create points on a line with the desired line segment length.
Select the line in which you want to create points. Double-click on the line to highlight it, and it will turn green. Alternatively, right-click on the line and choose Select line/polygon.
Right-click, then select FUNCTIONS - Create line segments. The shortcut for this is L.
In the dialog enter the desired value for the line segment length in meters. The line will be segmented at the specified value, and you will see an estimated number of points before starting the segmentation.
Click Confirm.
