Create a link to share SkyView

Here's how to easily create a link to share SkyView where you can include CAD files, comments, and more.

Updated over a week ago

When creating a link for sharing, you select the CAD files, models, areas, lines, and comments you want to be visible to users who visit the link. No user account is required, so anyone can access SkyView according to your selections. Through sharing SkyView, visitors can create temporary measurements that are saved as long as the web browser window is open. To view a shared link, it must be opened via Chrome or the latest Edge browser on a computer.

Follow these steps to create a sharing link:

  1. Go to SkyView for the project you wish to share.

  2. Choose the timeline you want to be default when the link is opened in a web browser.

  3. Select Share at the top right of the screen.

  4. When the function is activated, a selection column appears in the object list on the left. Use the columns to choose the objects you want to include in the link. By default, the objects that are visible in SkyView at the moment are selected.

  5. If you don't want to include an object in the link, deselect it in the selection column. Note that Design and Ground Models cannot be shared.

  6. Make any changes in the object list that you desire.

  7. Choose whether Save Camera View should be enabled or not for the link. If enabled, in addition to the selected timeline with orthophoto view or perspective view, the current camera angle and zoom will be saved. By default, this is enabled but can be turned off in the dialog. In that case, the orthophoto view will always open when the visitor goes to the link.

  8. Select Create Link.

  9. Copy the link that is generated via the icon to the left of the field where the link is displayed, or by clicking on the link to open it in your web browser.
