During the Flight
Updated over a week ago
  • Always keep at least one hand on the controller.

  • Maintain visual line of sight (VLOS) at all times – you must be able to see your drone continuously. Continuously scan the drone, the control unit, and the surroundings with your eyes. Pay particular attention to birds and maintain distance from people according to the 1:1 rule.

  • Be prepared to take over manually if necessary.

  • Abort the flight if it poses a risk to other aircraft, people, animals, or the environment.

Do not lose your flying ability – alternate between manual flying and automation. Also, stay well acquainted with your drone's various functions, capabilities, and limitations, and mentally prepare for different emergency situations and how to handle them effectively.
