Sky Protect Home Insurance is designed to offer you peace of mind, protecting your home against the unexpected. Your policy provides cover against loss or damage, including flood, fire and theft. Depending on the type and level of cover you choose, it can protect your buildings, contents or personal possessions away from home.
This policy only provides cover for damage caused by a sudden, unexpected issue. It doesn't provide cover for dealing with the emergency itself (such as a burst water pipe).
If there is an emergency, see here on how to get in touch with the Sky Protect Home Emergency team.
If something occurred to the contents of your home, this may be covered under your policy's buildings section. It is important to know what is included, and what’s not included before making a claim.
What is included
Contents replacement – loss or damage up to £100,000 to repair or replace all your contents as new following a sudden or unforeseen event.

Before making a claim
Before making a claim, check your policy wording to make sure you’re covered. Excess is always payable when making a claim, so make sure to always check the specific excess for the type of claim. You’ll find this on your policy schedule.
Have your policy number ready and anything that may help with your claim such as dates and times, a crime reference number (if applicable), and photos that may support your claim.
