Sky Protect Home Insurance is designed to offer you peace of mind, protecting your home against the unexpected. Your policy provides cover against loss or damage, including flood, fire and theft. Depending on the type and level of cover you choose, it can protect your buildings, contents or personal possessions away from home.
This policy only provides cover for damage caused by a sudden, unexpected issue. It doesn't provide cover for dealing with the emergency itself (such as a burst water pipe).
If there is an emergency, see here on how to get in touch with the Sky Protect Home Emergency team.
If there is damage, loss or theft to your home's building, this may be covered under your policy's buildings section. It is important to know what is included, and what’s not included before making a claim.

Going away?
If you know you’re going to be leaving your home unoccupied for more than 60 days in a row, you must tell us beforehand as this may affect your cover.
Before making a claim
You should read your policy wording to make sure you're covered, and check the excess on your policy schedule. Excess is the amount you'll be asked to pay towards your claim.
Have your policy number ready when making a claim, along with anything else that will help, like dates, times, photos, and a crime reference number if applicable.
Something happened to the contents of your home? This might be covered in your policy’s buildings section. It’s important to know what’s included and what isn’t before making a claim.
