Need to screen record on your Apple (iPhone or iPad) or Android device? Here's how to do it in a few simple steps.
Screen Recording on Apple Devices:
Step 1: Add Screen Recording to your Control Center (if it's not already there):
iOS 17 or earlier:
Open the Settings app
Locate and open the Control Center
Scroll down to ‘More Controls’
Locate ‘Screen Recording’ and tap the green plus (+) button next to it.
iOS 18 or later:
Open the Control Center:
On an iPhone with Face ID: Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen.
On an iPhone with a Home button: Swipe up from the bottom. If you continue swiping up, you see more groups of controls.
Tap the Add button (+) at the top left of the Control Center to begin editing the controls
Tap Add a Control at the bottom of the screen to open the controls gallery
Select the Screen Recording Control
Close the Control Center by swiping up from the bottom center of the screen
Step 2: Start Recording:
Open the Control Center:
On an iPhone with Face ID: Swipe down from the Top Right Corner of the screen
On an iPhone with a Home Button: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen
Touch and hold the gray Record button
Enable your microphone: Tap the microphone (ensure it is red and displays ‘Microphone On’)
Click ‘Start Recording. ’ A countdown timer of three seconds will appear.
To Stop Recording, open the Control Center and tap the screen recording icon

Note: Screen recordings are automatically saved to your photo library in the Photos app.
Screen Recording on Android Devices:
Step 1: Add Screen Recording to your Quick Settings (if it's not already there):
Open Quick Settings: Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to access the Quick Panel
Customize Tiles: Tap the three vertical dots
Select ‘Edit Buttons’
In the ‘Available Buttons’ section, find the Screen Recorder
Hold and drag the ‘Screen Recorder’ icon to your active buttons
Step 2: Start Recording:
Open Quick Panel: Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to access the Quick Panel
Tap ‘Screen Recorder’ to start the process
Enable Audio: Select ‘Media and Mic’ to capture both sound and microphone input
Optional: Enable ‘Show taps and touches’
Start Recording: Tap ‘Start recording’. The recording will begin after the countdown.
Stop Recording: When you're finished, tap the Stop icon in the top right corner or open Quick Panel and click ‘Screen Recorder’ to stop.

Uploading your Screen Recording:
Your task will have video enabled as a response type.
