Before hitting the road, make sure your protective gear is securely paired with the Quin Within App. Follow these steps to connect your protective gear and activate your Quin Pod.
Step 1: Insert Your Quin Pod Correctly
Some protective gear equipped with Quin technology already has the Quin Pod pre-installed. Quin-equipped gear comes in two types: Quin Within and Quin Ready.

If your protective gear is Quin Within, skip to Step 2.
Begin by placing your Quin Pod inside the Quin-designated cavity of your protective gear. Make sure the pod is positioned securely and is covered by the protective gear’s internal rubber or fabric liner to ensure it stays in firmly.
Once the Quin Pod is in place, it’s time to pair it with the app.
Step 2: Navigate to the Quin App Home Page
Open the Quin App on your smartphone. If you’ve already signed in, you’ll land directly on the Home Page—this is the central dashboard that displays your device and safety status.
Step 3: Press the Connect Button
Depending on where your device appears in the app, follow the correct path below to reach the Connect button:
Option A: Protective gear is Displayed on the Home Page
If the device you want to pair is already visible at the top of your Home Page, simply tap the Connect button shown below it.
Option B: Protective gear Has Not Been Added Yet
If the device does not appear at the top of the Home Page, it is because you haven’t added it yet. Follow the steps in this article to add it first: [HMT-0014 Adding and Removing a Device]
Step 4: Pairing Your Protective gear
You’ll now be taken to the Connect Your Device screen.
Raise your device to activate the Quin Pod.
Give it a light shake. This will wake the pod. Look for the blue LED light to confirm that the pod is active.
Under Available Devices, you’ll see your Quin Pod’s name appear. Tap it to connect.
Once connected, you’ll see a confirmation checkmark and a message at the top of the screen saying Device Connected. Your device will also appear in the paired list, highlighted in teal, with a Disconnect button next to it.
Tap the X button in the top right corner to exit the pairing page.
That’s it! Your protective gear is now connected and ready.
