How to create an account in the Quin Within App

Written by Karan

Getting started with the Quin Within App is quick and simple. Follow the steps below to create your account and unlock the full power of our Intelligent Safety Technology.

Install & Create an account

  1. Download the Quin Within App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

  2. Launch the app and tap the Get Started button.

  3. On the Sign Up page, fill in your details:

    • Enter your Full Name

    • Enter your Email Address

    • Create a Password

    • Re-enter your password to confirm

    • Select your Country Code (make sure it matches the one for your mobile number)

    • Enter your Mobile Phone Number

  4. Tap the Next button to continue.

Heads up: If you see an error message that says:

“Oops! Email or phone number already registered. Please log in.”

This would mean that you already have an account with us under that phone number or email and will have to reset your password to get your old account back.

Verify your phone number

Once you complete the sign-up form, we’ll send you a One-Time Password (OTP) to verify your number and keep your account secure.

  1. On the OTP Verification page, enter the 6-digit code sent to your phone via SMS.

  2. Didn’t get a code? No problem—wait for the timer to finish and tap the Send Again button to receive a new one.

  3. Once you’ve received the code, enter it and tap Submit.

Choose Your Preferences

After your phone number is verified, let’s finish setting up your profile:

  1. Choose Your User Type: User or Responder

When setting up your account, you’ll be asked to choose a User Type:

either User or Responder.

  • A User is someone who owns a device using the Quin Pod or Quin Tag and is actively using it. The person who will be riding/wearing the gear should choose this option. Safety events (such as SOS activations or crash detections) will be tracked and monitored if you choose User.

  • A Responder is someone who has been added by a User as an emergency contact. Responders receive alerts via SMS and in-app notifications if the User experiences a crash or triggers an SOS Beacon. They do not need to own a device or Pod to participate in the safety network, but they do need to download the Quin Within App and create a Responder account.

Select the option that applies to you and click Next.

If You Select “I’m a User”

3. Add Your Device

  • For some products, you’ll be asked whether your product has a Quin Pod.

  • Check the box if it does. If you leave it unchecked, your product’s capabilities in the app will be limited.

  • Give your device a Nickname

  • Tap Next

4. Set Up Emergency Information

  • Enter the following:

    • Blood Group

  • Select from Contacts

  • Add Manually

To manually add a contact, you will have to input the following:

  • Contact’s Name

  • Phone Number

  • Email Address

  • Preferred Language

Press Done when you are finished.

This will automatically open your Messages app, where a pre-filled text will appear asking your chosen contact to confirm being listed as your emergency contact in the Quin Within App. If you’re happy with the message, simply press Send.

On iPhone, the message screen closes automatically once the message is sent and you are returned to the Quin Within App.

On Android, you will need to swipe back or tap the back button to return to the Quin Within App after sending the message.

If You Select “I’m a Responder”

1. Policy Agreements

  • Accept the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and EULA by checking the box

  • Press Next

2. Disclaimer

You’ll be shown a message stating:

“Quin does not guarantee 100% accuracy or reliability of crash detection and does not take responsibility for anomalies that are caused by user error and/or the mobile device.”

Tap I Understand to continue

3. Responder Confirmation

  • You’ll be asked to confirm if you wish to become a Responder.
