Updated this week

We’ve introduced an IT hardware calculation method under Use of sold products (S3C11).

This update enables you to measure the emissions generated from the use phase of sold IT hardware. In line with the GHG Protocol, the Use of sold products category covers emissions that occur during the operation of products after they are sold, where your company no longer owns or controls the devices. Because IT hardware consumes energy during use, these emissions are required to be reported under the GHG Protocol.

To calculate these emissions, you’ll need to provide:

  • The type of hardware sold

  • The quantity sold

Over 22 hardware types are supported, ranging from laptops to TVs.
