There are two ways Plan A currently calculates Fuel- and Energy-Related Activities emissions:

  • Using inputs from Scope 1 and Scope 2 categories. The Plan A Sustainability Platform calculates your emissions using the same data inputs that you provide when uploading data for Stationary Combustion, Mobile Combustion and Purchased Electricity. To generate your Fuel- and Energy-Related Activities emissions you need to upload activity data to those categories.

Please note: Upstream emissions associated with purchased heating are not automatically captured in your 'Fuel—and Energy-Related Activities' emissions. However, you can upload them using the 'Bring Your Own Emissions' option.

  • Bring Your Own Emissions allows you to upload your own pre-calculated emissions to the Plan A platform. For more information, see here.
