What is Require Timely Answer?

The Require timely answer compliance setting prompts users to explain delays when tasks are completed within the grace period but after the scheduled deadline. This feature:

  • Allows users to add an optional explanation (text or images) for the delay.

  • Marks delayed results as Awaiting Validation, so a Reviewer can validate or reject them.

Note: Explanations are optional but encourage accountability for time-sensitive tasks.

How to Enable Require Timely Answer

Follow these steps to enable the Require timely answer setting for a schedule:

Go to Schedules

Navigate to Schedules in the Mobaro sidebar. Select the schedule you want to edit.

Edit Schedule Settings

Within the schedule, click on Settings.

Enable Require Timely Answer

Scroll to the Compliance section and enable Require timely answer.

Setting Up Qualified Reviewers

For optimal compliance management, ensure that there are designated Reviewers for tasks in the Awaiting Validation state. Reviewers are responsible for assessing delayed completions and verifying the provided explanations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What happens if a user doesn't provide an explanation for a delayed task?
A: Providing an explanation is optional, so the task will still enter the Awaiting Validation state. However, Reviewers may follow up with the user for more context.

Q: Can the Require Timely Answer setting be applied globally to all schedules?
A: Yes, Require Timely Answer can be enabled in bulk from the main Schedules page using the bulk compliance tool editor.

Q: How do Reviewers validate or reject delayed tasks?
A: Reviewers can view all tasks in the Awaiting Validation state, review the provided explanations (if any), and decide to validate or reject the task. This can be done directly from the Results page.
