Can a Smart Plug be used with other devices than heaters?

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Yes. The Smart Plug has a feature to deactivate the temperature sensor. When this is done, it can be used as a simple Wi-Fi-controlled on/off switch. For example, it can then be used to turn a radio, fan, or lamp on and off.

You can also activate cooling mode, which inverts the temperature sensor β€” meaning it will supply power to the connected device when the temperature reaches the set value in the app.

Note that the Smart Plug must be set up as an independent device for the temperature sensor to be deactivated. If the device is assigned to a room, you must first remove the room assignment.

The Smart Plug must not be used with devices that serve critical functions, such as heat pumps, water heaters, heating pipes, underfloor heating, refrigerators, freezers, etc.

Note: The Smart Plug is approved for use with devices up to 2300W.
