Some exciting data and software updates alongside a few bug fixes in Local Energy Net Zero Accelerator (LENZA)!
Custom cost and carbon templates. Users can now share or hide custom cost and carbon templates with other users. Reminder: custom templates released last month allow users to update our default cost and carbon assumptions used to calculate the impact of a project.
Dataset updates.
EV Data from Field Dynamics: Understand which homes have space to park (and charge) at home via the dataset 'EV Map', as well as which areas have enough pavement space to fit an on street charger (Dataset: Pavement Widths). Check out the new EV planning datasets from Field Dynamics in Map>Data Explorer>Transport and Mobility!
Non-Domestic Renewable Potential. One of our most requested dataset types - non-domestic data. This release we’re bringing you non-domestic heat demand, PV & heat pump potential alongside non-domestic low carbon technology costs. Find these all in the Data Explorer
We’ve also updated Flood Risk Zones 2 and 3, EV Charge Point locations, and the Renewable Energy Planning Database to bring you the latest updates from their data providers.
Some minor bugs fixes and usability improvements
Manage Access. Administrators now remove the expiry date for a user with time limited access.
Uploading data. To avoid accidentally deleting a dataset you’ve just uploaded, we’ve added a confirmation step after you click delete and before we actually remove the dataset. We’ve also fixed a bug where ‘radius’ would not be configurable in Layers for user uploaded datasets.
Data Stories. Users can now include multiple charts in a data story section. We’ve also fixed a bug where content added to a section in edit mode would not always save.
General improvements: Many users told us they didn’t spot the many tutorials and support articles available in the application. To help make these easier to find we've replaced the Help button on each page with ‘Access Tutorials’. We’ve also updated the icons for air source and ground source heat pumps to make it easier to tell these apart on the map, and added a flag in the Data Explorer to let you know if the dataset you are viewing has a filter applied.
As always, you can find ‘how-to’ guides and video guides in the LENZA Knowledgebase, as well as Live Chat support.
