Tax Declaration - Previous tax advisor - Data transfer

Updated over a month ago

What is the benefit of Kontist Tax Advisory directly contacting my previous tax advisor?

By giving us the contact details of your previous tax advisor, the Kontist Tax Advisory can retrieve relevant bookkeeping data for your 2021 tax declaration. This makes it easier for you, as you will not have to prepare and upload documents yourself.

If you do not wish to provide your previous tax advisor’s name and contact details, please understand that the Kontist Tax Advisory will require you to upload all your documents, invoices, and receipts in the web app yourself.

Which reports do I need from my previous tax advisor?

If you are unable to give us the contact details of your previous tax advisor, the Kontist Tax Advisory will need you to request a single DATEV export as a .csv file.

In addition to the DATEV export, please upload the following documents to the 2021 Tax folder:

  • All invoices for incoming transactions (Eingangsrechnungen)

  • All receipts for outgoing expenses (Ausgangsrechnungen)

  • Bank statements (Kontoauszüge)

  • List of assets for 2020 (Anlagenverzeichnis)

The invoices, receipts, bank statements, and list of assets can be uploaded in PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, TIFF, CSV, DOC, and similar file formats.

The data in these documents would provide the Kontist Tax Advisory all your transaction data that are not in your Kontist account. This is necessary for an accurate calculation of your taxes, where income and expenses are all properly booked and accounted for.

Where should I upload my documents?

All documents should be uploaded into this Tax 2021 folder. Please note that this upload folder is only accessible on desktop, not on the mobile app or mobile web.
