How to do a DATEV export

Updated over a month ago

Yes!

With the DATEV export, you can easily pass on your bookkeeping data to the tax consulting firm responsible for you. So they have the possibility to import your finished accounting in their system, for example in DATEV, but also in other common accounting systems. Your tax declaration can then be prepared without any problems.

How do I do it?

  1. Log in to your Kontist account via the web app

  2. Click on "Downloads" on the left side

  3. Select "DATEV export"

  4. Activate the checkbox "Include receipts".

  5. Select the preferred year and data format*.

  6. Click on "Start export"

  7. As soon as the export is displayed below, click on it

A .zip file will be downloaded, which you simply send to your tax advisor.

What does this file contain?

It consists of another .zip file and a .csv file. This further .zip file contains all the receipts and the .csv file records all the journal entries.

*There are two different formats: SKR03 and SKR04. If you are not sure which format you need, please contact your tax advisor.
