How do I link a resource to a segment?

D
Written by Daria Nasedkina

Overview

By default, a resource is available to all learners to view and download. Linking it to a segment restricts it — only learners in those segments can see and download it. This is useful when a document only applies to certain teams, locations, or roles.

One resource can be linked to multiple segments. Linked resources appear under the Documents & policies tab on the learner's dashboard.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Click the Settings tab in the side menu, or the ⚙ Settings icon in the top-right corner.

  2. Find the Elsewhere section and click Organisational segments.

  3. Choose the segment from the list and click its title.

  4. Scroll down to the Linked Documents & policies card.

  5. Click the Link resource button on the right of the card.

  6. Type part of the resource's name into the search box, then select one or more resources from the list.

  7. Click Link resources.
