How do I change the expiry date on an order?

Give your recipients more time to claim, as long as the order has not already expired.

With Huggg Campaigns, you can change the expiry date on an order after you have bought it. The new date applies to every gift link in that order.

📋 Before you start

You can change the date when both of these are true:

  • Huggg Campaigns is on your account. On the free Gifting plan, gifts are valid for one year from when you send them. That date cannot be changed.

  • The order has not expired yet. Once the expiry date has passed, the date is fixed.

📅 How to change the expiry date

You change the expiry date on the order, not on a single gift link.

  1. Go to your Gift history page from the left-hand menu.

  2. Click the Orders tab at the top of the page.

  3. Find and click into the order you want to change.

  4. Click the calendar icon at the top right, next to Expiry date.

  5. Pick the new date. The panel shows the date your links will expire, so you can check it first.

  6. Click Apply.

The order then shows the new expiry date, and every gift link in it expires on that date.

💡 Two cases to watch for

The expiry date will not help you in either of these:

  • One recipient needs longer than the rest. Every gift link in an order shares the same expiry date. Send that person a separate gift instead.

  • The order has already expired. The date cannot be changed and the links cannot be reopened. Whether to send a new gift is your call.

💷 What the new date changes

The expiry date also controls when unclaimed gifts are refunded. With Campaigns, an unclaimed gift is refunded to your Huggg balance when it expires. Move the expiry date and the refund moves with it.
