How to remove a user or subteam
Admins can revoke access for individual colleagues or entire departments at any time from the Teams tab.
Head to the side navigation bar and select 'Teams'.
Scroll down to the ‘Manage my team’ (for individuals) or ‘Manage subteams’ section.
Find the relevant user or subteam and click the bin icon.
Important: This action is immediate. The user (or all users within that subteam) will instantly lose access to the Huggg platform and their shared budget.
What happens to the funds?
You cannot delete a user or subteam if they still have a balance in their "pot."
Before you delete: You must withdraw any remaining funds back into the Main Wallet.
To do this, click the three dots (⋮) next to the subteam, select 'Transfer funds', and use the Withdraw tab.
Once the balance is £0.00, the bin icon will become active, and you can proceed with the deletion.
What happens to the data?
Deleting a user or a subteam only revokes their login access. * Transaction History: All previous gifting data, receipts, and activity will remain fully available to the Admin for reporting purposes.
Live Huggg Links: Any gifts previously sent by the deleted user that are still "Live" (not yet claimed) will continue to work for the recipient. You can still track or cancel these links from your main dashboard.
💡 Pro-Tip: Offboarding Admins
If you need to delete a user who is currently an Admin, please ensure you have promoted a new Admin first. If they are the only Admin, please contact hello@huggg.me so we can help you transition the account ownership safely.
