Definition
You can send gifts without collecting postal addresses by sharing digital gift links - recipients enter their own details when they claim the gift. This removes administrative overhead and respects privacy.
What is it?
Rather than needing multiple people’s addresses upfront, Huggg lets you send gifting links via email, SMS, or any messaging platform. The recipients click, choose their gift, and add delivery details at that point.
Why does it matter?
This is especially helpful for remote teams, contractors, or audiences where you don’t hold current addresses - it increases flexibility and reduces friction.
How does it work?
In 'Send gifts', pick a gift type (specific gift, choice of gift, or gift card)
Personalise the gift options: sending location, gift category, budget, and (optionally) customise the selection
Click next, add a message and gift wrap, then choose whether to send via a shareable link or upload emails/SMS
Decide how many gifts you'd like to purchase, and whether you'd like to send individual links or a group link.
Choose an expiry date - the date by which recipients must select their gifts
Review and pay for your gift purchase
A confirmation screen should now pop up: copy and paste the links into your chosen messaging tool
Common pitfalls / misconceptions
Link sharing doesn’t automatically gather addresses - recipients must enter their own.
Expiry dates matter - setting a reasonable expiry makes sure gifts aren’t forgotten.
