How can I make a booking via Helpling?

If you’d like to book a new cleaner, we make it easy for you to arrange a booking via your customer account. Whether you need regular support or help for a special occasion – a cleaner brings relief and ensures a sparkling clean home.

Whether you're looking for a reliable cleaner for your everyday routine or occasional support, there are plenty of good reasons to seek professional help.

Whether it’s for weekly household cleaning, preparations for an important event, after a celebration or as a holiday replacement – a cleaner saves you time, brings comfort, and keeps your home in great shape.

How can I make a booking?

Step-by-step guide

1. Log in and start a new booking

  • Log into your customer account.

  • Click on “Book a service” under “Home”.

  • In the Helpling app, this option is available on the Orders page.

2. Select service and enter postcode

  • Select the service “Household cleaning”.

  • Enter your postcode to find available service providers near you.

3. Enter booking details

  • Choose the frequency: One-time, Weekly or Bi-weekly

  • Enter the desired date, time, and duration of the cleaning service.

Choose or request a cleaner

1. Select a cleaner manually
Compare the profiles of available service providers directly during the booking process:

  • Number of completed cleanings

  • Average customer rating

  • Customer comments and reviews

  • Additional services offered (e.g. window cleaning, ironing, pet-friendly)

  • Hourly pricing

Tip: To increase your chances of a successful match, we recommend selecting at least four favourites during the booking process. This way, multiple suitable cleaners can view and respond to your request.

2. Automatically request top-rated cleaners
Would you prefer to leave the selection to Helpling? Then choose the option to automatically send your request to the best-rated cleaners in your region.

  • Your request is forwarded to suitable providers

  • You’ll see a price range based on average rates

  • Confirmation follows once a cleaner accepts your request

What should I know about last-minute bookings?

For bookings within 24 hours, the following conditions apply:

  • No manual selection possible
    The selection is made automatically without viewing profiles.

  • Automatic distribution
    The request is sent to all available cleaners.

  • Price orientation
    The average price in your region is used as a reference.

  • Quick response
    You will receive a notification as soon as a cleaner accepts the booking.

What happens after the booking?

  • You will receive a booking confirmation via email

  • Your favourites have up to 4 hours to confirm the request

  • If no confirmation is received, the request is automatically forwarded to other suitable providers (if this option is activated)

  • Once accepted, you will receive a confirmation via SMS and email

  • Your booking appears in your customer account under “Orders”

Note: The email confirmation confirms the successful submission of your booking request, but not the final appointment. The cleaner confirms the appointment separately.

Data Privacy: Who Sees What?

Your privacy is very important to us.

When a cleaner receives your booking request – whether as a favorite or through automatic forwarding – they only see the information needed to decide whether to accept the offer.

Specifically, they can see:

  • The street name (without house number)

  • The postal code

  • The preferred date and time

  • The duration and frequency of the cleaning

  • Your price range

They do not see:

  • Your name

  • Your house number

  • Any other personal details

Sensitive information – such as your full name and exact address – is only shared with the cleaner 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.
This ensures your data is only passed on when the booking is confirmed and the appointment is near.

FAQ

Do I need to confirm the cleaner after they accept my request?

No, once you receive a notification from Helpling that a service provider has accepted your booking request, the order is automatically confirmed and visible in your customer account under “Orders”. No further action is required.

Can I still modify my cleaning request?

Once you have completed and submitted your booking request, it is unfortunately no longer possible to change or cancel it yourself. This is because your selected appointment details are immediately forwarded to the service providers to ensure quick processing.

If you would still like to make a change, feel free to get in touch with us directly. We’ll be happy to take care of it for you – for example, by cancelling your request and creating a new booking on your behalf.
