Why is my card being declined?

If a payment method is being declined when placing or renewing a Huel order, there are several common reasons to check. This article applies to customers in the United States.

Common reasons why a Huel payment is declined:

1. Insufficient funds

  • Make sure the bank account or card has enough funds to cover the Huel transaction.

2. Incorrect or expired card details

  • Check that the card number, expiration date, and security code (CVV) are entered correctly.

  • If the card has expired, update the payment method in the Huel account.

3. Billing address mismatch

  • The billing address must match the address registered with the bank or payment provider.

4. Bank security checks

  • Banks may block payments that appear unusual, such as higher-value orders or recurring Huel subscriptions.

  • Contact the bank to approve the transaction if needed.

5. Alternative payment method needed

  • Try using another payment method such as PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

How to update payment details in a Huel account:

  1. Log in to your Huel account: https://www.huel.com/account/login

  2. Go to the “Payment Methods” section.

  3. Add a new payment method or update existing details.

If the payment is still being declined:

  1. Review all the points above.

  2. Try a different payment method.

  3. Share the issue with Huel support for further investigation.
