How to navigate to your tasks — Driver app

The navigation feature in the Driver app uses HERE Maps to generate multiple route options based on traffic conditions and your vehicle's navigation profile.

By considering factors such as vehicle dimensions, weight, and other restrictions, it helps guide your drivers along suitable roads.

If you're using our Task and Route Planning solution, you can start navigation directly to the address of your next assigned task. There's no need to manually enter destinations—simply open the task in the Driver app and press "Navigate".

✅ To use the "Navigation" feature, the vehicle needs to have been added to the "Task and route planning" solution.

🔔Navigation uses your mobile device’s GPS, not the vehicle’s tracking device, so make sure GPS is always turned ON.

Start task

To navigate to the address of a planned task:

  1. Open the Driver app.

  2. Select a vehicle (if one isn't selected already).

  3. On the Dashboard, under Planned tasks, tap View task.

  4. Review the task and tap Navigate at the bottom.

🔔 If the destination address is incorrect, do not start the task.

Contact your dispatcher to update it. If the task has already been started, either mark it as completed yourself or ask your manager to close it and create a new task for you.

You will be redirected to the map showing your current location and the task destination.

✅ Loading may take a few seconds.

  5. Before starting, you can press thesettings icon to view the vehicle profile or change the map type.

📘 The vehicle profile determines which vehicle restrictions and road rules are considered when generating routes.

  6. Below the map, one or more route options will be generated:

    • Tap the arrow icon to start immediately with the suggested route.

    • Or, tap a route option itself to view the full list of directions,
then tap Start guidance if everything looks correct.
