How to send a Route with Tasks to a Driver

Updated over 2 months ago

πŸ”” Before you start: Make sure the driver has access to the Driver app, so they can select the vehicle and see their tasks.

πŸ“˜ A route must have at least one task assigned before it can be sent to the driver. If no tasks are added yet, create them and save the route as a draft first.

To send a route and its tasks to a driver:

  1. Go to Online Map β†’ Tasks.

  2. Find and click on the relevant vehicle card (use group filters or scroll the list).

πŸ”” Do not click on the licence plate β€” it will open the vehicle profile, and do not click on the driver’s name β€” it will open the driver profile.

  3. Expand Drafts.

  4. In the Routes list, find the Route ID that already contains the tasks to be performed and expand it to review the task sequence.

  5. Drag tasks to reorder if needed.

  6. At the top of the expanded route, open the three-dot menu and select Send to vehicle.

The route is now linked to the vehicle. When the driver opens the Driver app, they can start completing the route and its tasks.

In the platform, the route moves to Planned routes on the vehicle overview in the Task Management solution.
