How to create a Route

Updated over 2 months ago

There are two ways to create a new route in the Vehicle Tasks & Routes view — either from scratch or by using already created unplanned tasks.

New empty route

To create a new route from scratch:

  1. Go to Online Map → Tasks.

  2. Click on the relevant vehicle card.

🔔 Do not click on the licence plate — it will open the vehicle profile, and do not click on the driver’s name — it will open the driver profile.

  3. Click the green + Add button.

  4. Select Create new route

  5. The route will appear in the Drafts section under the Routes list.

📘 A route needs to have at least one task added in order to be used. Tasks serve as the base locations for the route.

From unplanned tasks

To create a route from existing unplanned tasks:

  1. Go to Online Map → Tasks.

  2. Click on the vehicle card.

🔔 Do not click on the licence plate — it will open the vehicle profile, and do not click on the driver’s name — it will open the driver profile.

  3. Expand Drafts and scroll to Tasks.

  4. Tick the checkboxes next to the tasks you want to include in the route, in the order you want them completed.

  5. Click the three-dot menu on any selected task.

  6. Choose Create new route.

  7. A new unplanned route will be created in the Drafts section under the Routes list.

📘 Tasks will be added to the route in the order they were selected. If needed, you can reorder them by dragging tasks into the desired sequence.

Deletion

To delete a route, in the Task Management solution open the Vehicle card and locate the route you want to remove in either the Planned or Drafts section. Click the three-dot menu to the right of the Route ID and select Delete route. The route will be permanently removed from the list.

🚨 All assigned tasks will also be deleted.

🔔 Active route cannot be deleted.
