Switzerland heavy vehicle charge

Updated over a week ago

Our fleet management platform now connects with Switzerland's truck toll system (LSVA III) as an approved service provider. The Swiss toll system is run by the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS, also called, Bundesamt für Zoll und Grenzsicherheit – BAZG).

As an approved provider, we offer a simple solution that:

  • Automatically collects driving data

  • Handles the required data and reports it to the Swiss authorities

How our toll declarations work

Our system will collect key information from your vehicle, including its location, VIN, weight, and type, along with any available trailer data. This information is then sent to the Swiss toll system. Based on the data provided, the toll authority will calculate the charges and invoice the vehicle owner directly.

Who needs to pay tolls in Switzerland?

Vehicles and trailers that:

  • Have a total weight over 3.5 tons

  • Are used for transporting goods

  • Are registered in Switzerland or abroad

  • Drive on public roads in Switzerland

Benefits

  • Simplified travel in Switzerland: No extra toll devices or services needed when driving in or through Switzerland.

  • Lower costs: Reduce admin and operational expenses with built-in toll management.

  • One platform for all: Manage tolls as part of our existing fleet system—no need for separate tools.

  • Pan-European support: A step toward full fleet coverage across Europe, showing our commitment to seamless international operations.
