Ordering a test for someone else
You can order a test for a friend or family member at any time. The purchase is not connected to the person taking the test, so you do not need to enter their details when ordering.
Test kits are not tied to the buyer until registration is completed, allowing the user to enter their personal details during this process. This ensures any errors in purchase records do not affect the individual's ability to use the kit.
You can have the test delivered to your own address and give it as a gift, or ship it directly to the recipient.
The test can be used immediately or later, depending on the shelf life (see below).
When the person receiving the gift takes the test, they will create their own account and register the kit with their details.
Registering a Test for a Family Member or Friend
When the recipient is ready to take the test:
They create an account at my.gettested.io.
If one person (such as a parent) is managing multiple tests, the account can be in their name.
Each test is then registered with the patient’s details: full name, gender, date of birth, weight, height, and current health status (rated on a scale from 0–5).
Once registered, the link between the test kit and the individual is permanent, and changes or reassignment are not possible.
Once registered, the test will be visible in the account, and a confirmation will be sent by email and SMS.
Post-Registration Restrictions and Special Considerations
Once a test kit is registered to an individual, it cannot be reassigned to another person. For any instance of a manufacturer recall, users should follow the provided safety instructions, avoid using the kit, and request a refund if applicable.
