You can create new plants and varieties in the Journal.
If a plant you’re growing is not currently listed:
Tap on one of the task buttons (Planting, Watering, Tending or Harvesting).
Scroll to the bottom of the list of plants then click on 'Create a new plant'.
Type in the plant name, and also a variety if you wish. Click Done to save your changes. Your new plant will be included in the alphabetical list.
If a variety you’re growing is not currently listed:
Tap on one of the task buttons (Planting, Watering, Tending or Harvesting).
Scroll to the bottom of the list of of the varieties of the relevant plant then click on 'Create a variety of...'
Type in the variety name, then click Done to save your changes. Your new variety will be added at the bottom of the list of varieties for that plant.
