Add the plant to your plan then double-click on it (or click on it once then click on the Edit Item button in your plan's toolbar).

In the Position settings, set your X axis for the first and last plants in the row to indicate their horizontal position on the screen.

Set your Y axis for the first and last plants in the row if you want your row to indicate their vertical position on the screen..

You can also set the Height if you're growing in blocks.
