There are two sets of spacing options, one for plants growing in the ground, and one for plants in containers.

For standard spacing, check the Use Custom Spacings box to edit the spacings. Use the 'Between plants' value for single plants or plants grown in blocks, and both the 'Between plants in rows' and 'Between rows' values for plants grown in rows.

For growing in small containers, where plants can be grown closer, check the box for 'Use reduced spacing & icon size in a small container':

Choose how much to reduce the icon size and spacing. For example, reducing the plant icon by 20% will make the new icon 80% of its full size. The spacing will also be reduced by the same percentage.

Click Done, then Save All Changes when you're finished.
