How to fix inaccurate GPS and location issues

If your position on the map is jumping or inaccurate, your device may be restricting its GPS hardware to save battery. Follow these steps to enable High Accuracy mode.

🔋 A Note on Power Saving Mode

When your phone is in Power Saving Mode, it often disables the GPS chip and relies only on Wi-Fi or mobile towers. For the most accurate location, turn off Power Saving or follow the steps below.

🍏 For iOS (iPhone)

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

  2. Ensure Location Services is toggled ON.

  3. Scroll down and select our App.

  4. Set "Allow Location Access" to While Using the App or Always.

  5. Crucial: Toggle Precise Location to ON. This allows the iPhone to use its full GPS hardware rather than just an approximate area.

🤖 For Android

  1. Go to Settings > Location.

  2. Ensure Use Location is toggled ON.

  3. Tap on Location Services (or Advanced depending on your model).

  4. Select Google Location Accuracy.

  5. Toggle Improve Location Accuracy to ON. This combines GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile networks for the best possible result.
