Steps
1.) Understand what AutoCAD Mechanical layer groups offer. AutoCAD Mechanical lets you govern layers via layer groups. Layer groups already defined in AutoCAD Mechanical can be integrated into DigiPara Liftdesigner and its Datamanager.
2.) Integrate the existing layer groups. LDX components are customized according to the Component Visibility group: every component enabled or disabled via its button in the Component Visibility group represents a layer group in AutoCAD Mechanical. Shaft components switched on and off via their Component Visibility button are passed on to a specified layer group the same way.
Result
Your AutoCAD Mechanical layer groups are integrated with DigiPara Liftdesigner's Component Visibility settings.
