Prerequisites
AutoCAD, with access to the Layer Properties Manager, Dimension Style Manager, and Text Style Manager.
Steps
1.) Locate the default DigiPara Liftdesigner prototype files. They're located in the DigiPara Liftdesigner pool's dwg directory. Prototype files for imperial DWG output share the same name as the metric files, plus the suffix _Imp.
2.) Start from the default prototype file. Use the default DigiPara Liftdesigner prototype file Tables2000.dwg as your starting point — it already contains predefined dimension style and text style configurations, as well as the default layers.
3.) Set up the layers. Add new layers, or modify the existing ones, in AutoCAD's Layer Properties Manager.
4.) Set up the dimension styles. Edit the existing DigiPara Liftdesigner dimension styles (they start with the prefix LIFT_), or add a new one — for example, setting the dimension lines to green and the text to magenta.
Recommendation: always make sure your prototype DWG file includes a STANDARD dimension style. If a layer mapping table has an incorrect or non-existing mapped DigiPara Liftdesigner dimension style, the STANDARD dimension style is used as the fallback instead.
5.) Set up the text styles. Modify an existing text style, or add a new one, in AutoCAD's Text Style Manager.
6.) Save the prototype file in the data pool's dwg directory. The customized prototype DWG file must be stored in the data pool's dwg directory. The standard AutoCAD prototype file format is AutoCAD 2000/LT 2000 Drawing (*.dwg).
Result
A customized prototype DWG file exists with your own layers, dimension styles (including a STANDARD fallback), and text styles, saved where DigiPara Liftdesigner expects to find it.
