Step 9 of 17: Copy the Door Fixing Element, Edit Its Meta Data, and Load It

PL4.9: Copy a similar Door Fixing and edit its Meta Data

Written by Alexandra Göttert

Prerequisites

  • Thehe landing door, car door, and their assignment exist in the DigiPara BIM Library.

Steps

1.) Add a new Entrance view frame to see the existing fixing elements. In DigiPara Liftdesigner, add a new Entrance view frame so you can see all the existing door fixing elements together.

2.) Find a similar fixing element and note its RID. Find the fixing element with DF_RID: 15, the one used as the example for this tutorial.

3.) Copy the fixing element in DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager. Copy the matching record into your manufacturer module.

4.) Edit the meta data: description, and copy/paste rows for the bottom fixing element. Add a new, specific description. Then select an existing data row and use Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V for the bottom fixing element — the profiles for the top and bottom fixing elements are the same.

5.) Load your edited fixing element in DigiPara Liftdesigner. Load the component you just copied and configured.

Result

A new fixing element record exists in the DigiPara BIM Library, with a description and matching top/bottom profile data, loaded and ready to develop further.
