Step 8 of 17: Create the Door Assignment Between Landing Door and Car Door

PL4.8: Create a Door Assignment to generate complete Door Packages in Liftdesigner

Written by Alexandra Göttert

This links the finished landing door and car door together so they work as a matched pair.

Prerequisites

  • Both the landing door and car door exist in the DigiPara BIM Library.

Steps

1.) Open the door assignment table in DigiPara Liftdesigner Datamanager. Locate the table used to define relationships between landing doors and car doors.

2.) Define the relation between the front landing door and the front car door. Add a record linking the front landing door to the front car door.

3.) Define the relation between the front landing door and the rear landing door. Add a record linking the front and rear landing doors — but do not define a record between the rear landing door and the rear car door.

4.) Reload the landing door and check the result. Load your landing door again in DigiPara Liftdesigner and confirm the assignment is reflected correctly.

Result

The landing door and car door are correctly linked as a matched pair, with the front/rear landing door relation defined and the (deliberately omitted) rear car door relation left out.
