Step 7 of 17: Use the Explanation of Parameters and Values for the Car Door

PL4.7: Explanation of Parameters and Values in the Data Pool

Written by Alexandra Göttert

Prerequisites

  • A new car door record exists in the DigiPara BIM Library.

Steps

1.) Review the car door's typical 3D parameter groups. Using the same developer .dwg reference file as for the landing door (see Step 3), work through the car-door-relevant parameter groups:

  • Settings for Compatibility

  • Opening Type & Door Panels

  • Length of Sill

  • Sill Dimensions

  • Door Frame Left in Y-Direction

  • Main Characteristic & Apron Size

Result

You understand what each of the car door's key 3D parameters controls.

Note: Unlike the landing door, this tutorial does not show separate "Load," "Developer Work Area," "Modify 3D Geometry," or "Save" steps for the car door — the car door shares the same underlying door data structure already prepared while building the landing door.
