If additional staffing or support is from an external provider, how do I reflect this in DepenSys?

DepenSys does not normally reflect external services such as community nurses, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. There is a 'daily additional skilled care hours' box intended for recording, for example, nurses employed by the home to undertake complex wound dressing. It will add 100% of the hours entered to the 'DepenSys skilled hours' total (and hence also to the 'DepenSys hours' total), and staffing levels may have to be adjusted accordingly. You could therefore use this box for external provider skilled input but you would need to add in the hours to your shift pattern.
